Anyone who knows anything about cruiser motorbikes knows the name Harley Davidson. This internationally recognized name has been associated with the motorbike industry from as early as the 1900’s, where creators William Harley and Arthur Davidson first thought of making a cruiser motor-bicycle.
Those who aren’t familiar with the type of bike that Harley Davidson has become to be known as should know that Harleys are considered to be “easy riders.” These style of motorbikes value a smooth ride for highway usage over adrenaline-filled stunts or off-road adventures. This mindset appeals to many older adults, although younger generations have been known to get in on the fun.
The name Harley Davidson has had a poor reputation in American history, as popular biking gangs such as Hell’s Angels became notorious for riding such bikes. The belief that only bike gang members owned Harleys quickly passed, however, as future generations found out that one can’t stereotype riders that appreciate a smooth and invigorating ride that other bikes can’t provide.
The craze in personalizing vehicles has spilled over into the Harley Davidson industry, as all sorts of automotive shops now cater to custom Harley bikes. Custom bikes will be astronomical in price, depending on what is requested by the buyer. One thing is for certain: those who do buy a Harley usually do so at great expense, and spending extra money to make it worthwhile is a reasonable way to justify purchasing a unique motorbike.
Although public perception remains that a Harley is going to be an easy riding machine no matter what, different models have shown that Harleys can break the mold. A Harley Sportster, for example, is able to perform better than similar models under certain circumstances. The Dyna is another variation that shows that a Harley can also have pure brute force, with the big-twin engine being featured as a powerhouse of a propelling force.
Anyone who remembers the “good old days” and wishes they could have a Harley of the past will be glad to know that models such as the Softail have similar designs. A modern VRSC will be just the opposite, featuring new types of body styles and upgrades that defy the traditional look of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Either way, the motorbike is going to bear the same level of quality and durability that has empowered the company to success over the decades.

It’s been a long time coming, and Harleys certainly earned their name as the undisputed king of the motorcycle industry. They won’t come cheap, so be prepared to take an extra mortgage out on the house just to afford one of these road hogs- and extra for any type of customizations.

A better career can help an consumer enough to get a better house, a dependable vehicle, and overall a better lifestyle. But obtaining a good career in today’s work force takes much more than proper education: it takes work experience, knowledge in psychology, and sometimes even the right bit of luck to get an employer to notice.
The past has shown as what employers want- and it isn’t a college kid that came straight from the university. In some cases this may be possible, but only if the student has been in an internship of a year or more. In many cases even this isn’t enough, and employers demand 5-10 years of real work experience to get the top-paying jobs in the economy.
Resumes should be short and to the point. Giving an employer a 10-page report on one’s life history is going to quickly cause them to throw the short novel into the trash without even glancing at it. Also note that drawing attention to the resume by using colored paper, perfumes, or even colored inks is a straight ticket to failure. Keep it simple and to the point- nothing more.
The hardest part of the entire operation is going to be the interview. If an employer liked your resume enough to call you back, you already have a good advantage over everyone else. The next part comes to dress correctly, answer questions smoothly, and overall display an outgoing behavior. Employers like “go getter” employees that like working, doing their company justice, and being loyal to their employers.
An employment agency should be the next stop if one doesn’t seem to be getting it right. If you’ve failed multiple times and need a hand, an employment agency will be able to give some advice on what you’re doing wrong. They can also give leads to jobs that employers consult them with. Either way, an employment agency is a valuable tool for the unemployed.
Above all else- keep in mind first impressions are going to determine how someone feels about you. Read your resume and see if you’d hire yourself- if you wouldn’t, find some way to improve to make your resume more appealing. And as for the interview, always remember to show up well dressed. If it’s a hot day, still consider wearing slacks and dress shoes to make the impressions.

Teens are getting the poor end of the deal when it comes to insurance. Not only do they have poor credit, are less likely to be married, and are more prone to crashing- they can do hardly anything about it! They will be scrutinized by insurance companies left and right, although there are some small things to do to help reclaim some breaks in expense.
Driving experience is something that only comes through many years of driving and learning the “rules of the road.” And because students and teenagers won’t be able to boast many years of experience, insurance companies are going to penalize them in the form of increased expenses. This is the perfect reason for insurance companies to raise rates- especially if a teenager gets a speeding ticket. One’s rate can rise dramatically- sometimes $100 or more just because of a single ticket.
Students who make a “B” average or higher, whether in high school or at a university, will get a small discount. The discount won’t make up for something such as a speeding ticket, but every little bit helps. Getting named to the Dean’s List or being part of a special organization will also warrant some types of discounts at certain agencies.
Driving courses were, in older days, very common among insurance agency discounts. As long as a teen took an educational class on driving, they were almost guaranteed a discount on their insurance. This is seen less today, but some insurance agencies still keep this discount. As such, high school students should take advantage of free classes that may help their premiums each month.

A car hire agency is going to charge extra expenses where they can. This helps them cover any potential losses in profits, and also gets them more money to better their business. But for consumers this is a poor prospect, and knowing what expenses are necessary and which aren’t is the key to getting the best rate.
The first thing that can’t be avoided, but should be expected, is the tax that is applied to car hire services. Car hire services will advertise a very appealing rate, but rest assured, this rate does not include the amount needed for taxes. Expect to pay a hefty amount in taxes- especially in European countries where tax rates on car hire services can be simply outrageous.
Before obtaining an insurance plan from a car hire service, check with one’s own insurance company to see if they will cover the costs of the rental car. This can save the consumer a lot, considering that the car hire service offers insurance at much higher prices- often $25 dollars a day and up depending on the make and model of the car. After all, we wouldn’t want to pay insurance when we already have it!
Another lesser known fact in car hire expenses is that if a consumer brings a car back without a full tank of gas, they get a very expensive surcharge. Some car hire services will waive this fee if the consumer pays upfront once obtaining the car. Either way, the consumer will be paying extra in terms of time or money.
For those who are 18-25, expect a very hefty surcharge for an underage car hire customer. The younger ones may pay up to $100 or more in charges each day, depending on their records and the model and make of the car requested. Obviously the only way to get around this is to be 26 or older, but this isn’t something that can happen at the drop of a hat.
Lastly we have the issue of returning the car. If the buyer is going to be traveling to new locations on their trip, they will probably not be able to drive the car back to the spot where they obtained it. If this is the case, expect a high fee for the agency to have to drive it back. This fee varies on the contract and distance, but it will certainly not be cheap.

Indeed, many of the charges can be fixed simply by filling up a gas tank or putting a car back where one found it.
